AUSTERE MEDICINE Oct 28, 29 and 30. A three-day hands-on camping extravaganza on learning to save lives in primitive conditions! Austere Medicine is sometimes called Wilderness Medicine. It is a practice of medicine in resource-constrained environments - which includes the wilderness, developing countries or after disasters. Medicine practiced in austere environments has become increasingly popular and we are so fortunate to have a bona-fide instructor.
Among other
life-saving techniques, you will be suturing!! Not for the faint of
heart. Taught by Dutch Verschoor, a former Green Beret
doctor who's been there and done that in third world countries. This is
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn skills you may need if there
are no medical facilities or personnel to help you.
This is a free class but you
will be given the opportunity to share in the expenses via a free-will
offering jar!
