Cherry Blossom, Nutmeg & Thumbelina muching on dandelions. |
It may be
cold, windy and snowing outside (thanks Punxsutawnie Phil) but we are busy
planting, planning and producing herbs, veggies, flowers and dry goods for our
Spring Farm Fair.
You won’t
want to miss it so mark your calendar for MAY 26
10 am to 4 pm and get ready to spend a day at the farm.
We are
offering free mini-classes on organic gardening with transplants, organic
fertilizer & pest control for sale.
Ever wanted to try your hand at making traditional herbal remedies? Now’s the time to take advantage of the free
herbal mini-classes. There will be
herbal kits for sale that contain everything you need to make a remedy.
Take a
stroll through the Farm Store, meet local vendors and neighbors and select
unique, distinctive and charming gifts for Mother’s Day or any gift-giving
occasion. Our vendors are working,
crafting and sewing to offer you the best in hand-made items you will be proud
to give (or keep!) A few of the
offerings are designer pillow cases, aprons, bags, dolls, baskets & liners,
tea towels, hot pads, baby quilts, gift bags & cards, doll clothes. All natural, old fashioned lye soap and
spinning demonstrations. Charming
mini-herb gardens for the patio or window.
Varieties of herbal teas with instructions on how to turbo-boost the
nutritional/medicinal value. You may
even encounter little Fairy houses.
Free Range!! |
And, don’t leave the kids at home. Children’s activities of doing
laundry-pioneer style—shucking corn (gotta feed those chickens and ducks),
playing horseshoes or crochet will keep your little ones busy and happy.
Plus,
everyone will fall in love with the most unique playhouse you will ever lay
eyes on—little tee pees!! You’ve never
seen anything cuter, more imaginative or more fun to play in.
We’re easy
to find—hope you can stop in and say hi.
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe; she had so many children she didn't know what to do! |
